“Don’t just do things. Do BIG things!” – Futurist Jim Carroll

Most of us have ‘average’ engineered into our DNA; we are wired for mediocrity; we are structured for small. We are conditioned to be like everyone else, taught to conform, engineered by societal norms to toe the line. The result is that we become like everyone else, never rising above the average ordinary around us to discover our true potential.

Challenge that!

I’ve long believed that *everyone* has the potential to do great things with their unique passion, their core desire, their one true purpose. You might know what it is and might often think long and hard as to whether you have the courage to pursue it. Or, you might not yet know what “it” is but have never really taken the time to discover it.

Find the “it!” For multiple reasons, you hold yourself back from pursuing a bigger future  – with the result that you find yourself condemned to a series of days, many identical to the last, drowning in a swirling routine of singular sameness

But each and every day, you have the opportunity to take that creative step to commit yourself to bold opportunities.

Is today the day?

If you do one thing today, think bigger, be bold, challenge your small views. Lose yourself in the process of thinking about your opportunity, the potential within, the chance you could choose to confront to do something big. Lose yourself in your mind of possibilities, a mindset of big opportunities, a reality of potential. Lose yourself.

I’m a huge fan of Eminem – in particular, his song Lose Yourself (And, as an aside, “I’m Not Afraid.” That one is a personal motivational anthem for me!)

Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted, in one moment
Would you capture it, or just let it slip?

….You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow
This opportunity comes once in a lifetime, yo
